A clinical trial is a controlled study in which patients participate in the assessment of a new treatment for a specific type of cancer. The trial treatment may involve a new way of combining existing drugs, or the use of a newly developed therapy.
The goal of each trial is to prove the effectiveness of a new cancer treatment compared to existing options, and to identify possible side effects and the best ways to manage them.
Our partnership with Fox Chase Cancer Center enables Hunterdon Hematology Oncology to participate in many of their clinical trials—so you can access cutting-edge treatment options close to home, without the burden of long-distance travel.
If a trial that is right for the type of cancer you have been diagnosed with and its stage is not currently offered at our facility, your physician can help identify trials at other locations and provide the appropriate referrals to ensure you have access to the care you need.
The clinical trials listed here involve investigational treatment interventions—such as new drugs or novel drug combinations—administered directly to enrolled patients under close medical supervision.
Blood Draw Studies
These studies involve observational data collection only—typically a single blood draw. They do not involve investigational treatments, making participation straightforward for eligible patients.
