Position: Pharmacy Manager – PharmD

Hunterdon Hematology Oncology (HHO) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of our pharmacy department.

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced pharmacy manager who will rise to our high standards of cancer care and compassionate treatment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and medication management, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our patients. The Pharmacy Manager will lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.


Role Responsibilities

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, including workflow, staffing, and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Oversee medication administration processes and ensure accurate compounding of medications
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective pain management strategies for patients
  • Utilize pharmacy software systems for tracking prescriptions, managing patient records, and monitoring medication therapy
  • Provide leadership and training to pharmacy staff to enhance their skills in patient service and pharmaceutical practices
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care services provided by the pharmacy department
  • Implement policies and procedures that promote safe and effective medication use within the hospital setting
  • Maintain compliance with ACHC accreditation

Skills and Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution (Required)
  • Proven experience in hospital pharmacy management or a similar role (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols, compounding medications, and pain management practices
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and technology used in medication management
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment for staff development
